The battle between Firefox and Internet Explorer has been waged for years. For geeks, a web browser is like a jacket; it isn?? just something you use, but also something that identifies you. When I went to college, I was incredibly proud that my selected institution had almost immediately adopted Firefox as the default web browser on all lab computers. Their decision to use Firefox helped me feel at home.
Today, the battle continues. Both Internet Explorer and Firefox have had major new releases this month. Since its release, Firefox has chipped away at Internet Explorer?? popularity. Can IE9 turn things around for team Microsoft?

Specifically, IE 8 does an admirable job of handling tabs. I'm able to all too easily explore a forest of tabs with Google Chrome or Firefox. With IE 8, when you open one tab from a link in another, the 'related' tabs have a similar color. By automatically organizing the tabs by color-coding, managing tabs just became easier. This is one kind of those incredibly useful ideas that, after it arrives, you wonder the way it could ever have so very long for it to seem.
